Composite repair jobs in the middle east

by Peter F. Condon
(Miami, Florida)

Can you please give me an idea on who to contact regarding composite repair jobs, (airframe, helicopter blades). I thought it would be easy to go thru companies like Bell and Sikorsky here in the USA...but haven't gotten anywhere. I'll have my airframe license at the end of April, and already have a lot of experience in fabrication and repairs to high end composites. I'm particularly interested in helicopter blade repair in Afganistan. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hello Doc! The school I'm going to in Miami, hasn't placed anybody, anhywhere, in a year or more...(that's my guess)! But then again...Either did the last "Technical College" I went to...and that was way before the economy went "South"! Thanks for the response...I'll start with the Embry Riddle in Daytona...It's a bit closer and I know some people there.

Thanks again

Pete

I am surprised the school you went to didn't have placement.
Try contacting;
Embry Riddle
4900 Ellis Street
Golden, CO 80403
(719) 576-6858
or; Austi Peay University
http://www.apsu.edu/
They deal with Military Members who are continuing their education while in the military, and may know of companies looking for qualified A%P mechanics.
Good luck.
