Dear Kyle,
Although I have worked with people from the U.K. while in Iraq, lately I have been seeing a lot of companies post jobs with a "U.S.N." disclaimer (United States National). What is ironic is that those persons working on our Trucks and other vehicles were mostly from the Balkans.
Go to ITT, Fluor, KBR and Dyncorps sites and review their job openings (Listed as Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic), put in your application and don't pay attention to the "U.S.N." statement, if they need you, they'll find a way to hire you.
Good luck.
