Interview Time

by Barry
(England)

Back in May I asked about companies etc with whom I could speak to about gaining employment.

Well, I have now finally after phone calls to UAE gained a chance to speak to a company face to face in the UK this month.

I have explained that I am not applying for a specific job (even though i have applied for a few on their website) and that the interview in the UK is to look at my cv and my transferable skills.

So, Im now asking for a few hints and tips as to the 100% no, no's for me to say during this meeting and the 100% yes, yes's I need to be saying :-)

I really don't want to blow my chance during this meeting as I have been waiting for this interview for a good 6/7 months now.

My family know I want to be challenged every day during my working career, a normal 9-5 day job is boring me. And even though I love my wife and kids to bits, I need something to challenge me.

I am looking for a leadership position (management) and don't want to sell myself short - BUT - would take a non management position to prove myself.

So please, if anyone has any hints or tips for the interview - it would be great.

I can give more detail on what my history is if needed.

p.s. Less than a year in the Army and 4 years in TA is my only military background (as it seems they look for a military background as a must!)
