Need for Paramedics

by Tim Towery
(Atlanta, Ga, USA)

A few years back a Paramedic I was working with in Atlanta, made mention he had found a Job as a Paramedic in Iran working for one of the major hospitals there. I have tired of the low pay here in the United States and much disrespect we as a Paramedic get, so I am wanting to look for a Paramedic job in the Middle East area. I have searched numerous sites with job listings only to find they have all expired. Can you direct me to a website which has an active roster of job postings for a National Registered Paramedic?? I am an ex police Officer, 8.5 years, and have a BS degree in Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina, and have been a certified Phase 111 Fire Fighter in South Carolina as well, but am not Nationally Certified since that came after my achieving the Fire Fighter ranking. I would like to discover the opportunity to work abroad using my Paramedic skills in other countries.

Repeat after me, "Drink more water".

You sound qualified for at least 3 possibly 4 positions with various Contracting Companies in Iraq and Afghanistan.
1: Security.
2: Fireman.
3: Medic.
4: HR/Travel.
Company Medics aren't very well received by employees as they seem always to be guided by an invisible force connected directly to head office, and therefore never appear too concerned about the employee. Their cure all seems to be "Drink more water".
I have a great deal of respect for Medics, civilian and Military so don't get me wrong.
Check with KBR, Fluor and ITT with Dyncorp at the lagging edge of the list.
I no longer supply their web address's as a security precaution as fake address's have been popping up on job sites. Search KBR and the others and add careers. When your sure of the site search "Logcap" jobs, Iraq and Afghanistan.
You will need to fill out the companies online application and start a company account to access your info.
NONE OF THESE COMPANIES WILL REQUEST ANY MONEY FROM YOU!!! If they do, it's a scam. If your application is accepted you will be given further information in order to take a WABI test for job placement and an E Ticket will be placed in your name at the nearest airport for your flight to the transition station where all paperwork an physicals will be finished. You will not be required to pay for visa's or paperwork and your Hotel stay is also paid for.
Generally a recruiter will call the contact number you supply. He/She will NOT require any money or Banking information. When you arrive for indoc. you will need a voided check for the finance department with the acct# and Routing number, but by the time you have to supply it you will already be on your way overseas. This will be the ONLY time any need for banking info will be required.
I am harping on this as a security measure because somebody was on this site advertising for drivers in the UK paying incredible wages and promising wonderful things, however, after researching the facts it turned out to be a scam from Nigeria.
You will be a lot safer contacting the companies listed yourself, but please do a scam cross check before opening a file with any of them.
A little leg work on your part will keep you safer.

Good luck.
