Overseas Employment - No Security Clearance Required

by Lawrence
(Somersworth, NH)

Am a retired E-6 MM1/SS (Weapons). I have recently lost my security clearance and my job due to overwhelming debt. Are there any employment opportunities available to me overseas, in either Iraq, Afghanistan, or other locations in the Middle East? I have recently been working writing maintenance procedures for submarines. I have had some security experience (mostly onboard and inport security for submarines, but have some shore based auxiliary security forces training as well), was a Navy Small Arms Instructor, was responsible for maintaining all of the weapons for unit security.
I also have experience with shipboard air and hydraulic systems. I am looking for the posssibility of overseas contract work, that will afford the oportunity to clear up my personal finances, and possibly afford me the opportunity to regain my clearance. I am interested in any or all positions I could possibly qualify for.

Tough Call
by: Doc

Dear Lawrence,
Thats a tough one. If you have consolidated debt and are making a concerted effort to make good I am unaware as to why you would have lost your Security Clearence.
Although there are several companies that are contracting in the Middle East call this number 713-753-2000, it's the KBR Operator, ask to speak to a Recruiter or somebody from Human Resources and ask them to explain what will deny your employment.
God luck.
