Retired Air Force Officer; Law Degree; Secret Clearance

by Donald Denning
(Warner Robins, GA - USA)

What would be my job opportunities for overseas work, being a retired officer with a law degree and secret clearance? I currently work civil service as a human resource specialist. I specialize in workers' compensation and retirements and benefits.

Your background get's you in
by: Doc

Dear Donald Denning,
All good Companies have an HR dept. in the Middle East and elsewhere. Your background in Law will open some doors at Fluor, Dyncorp and ITT. Also your ability in the office is looked for in all HR Depts.
Try;
Dyncorp at;
http://www.dyncorprecruiting.com/ext/cojobs.asp?From=1&Keyword=&GenCat=193&Cat1=&Cat2=&Cat3=&Cat4=&Cat5=&Cat6=&Cat7=&Cat8=&Cat9=&Cat10=&Cat11=&Category=&Location=
Fluor at;
http://www.fluor.com/careers/pages/logcap_iv_opportunities.aspx
And ITT at;
http://www.itt.com/careers/
Navigating their sites is a pain in the butt and may take some doing, however, key words may be "Logcap" for Middle East jobs. You will need to start an account for all, but I always advise that you do a background check on all sites before submitting any personal data so as not to get scammed.
Raytheon is more of a Polar "Wow, look what I did" site where up and comers can go home and brag that they did 6 months at the South Pole, but you may find a good job in their Corporate locations.

Good luck.
