If your are not an Armed Security Contractor, the only weapon you are allowed to possess is a knife with a blade less than 4 inches and it must be part of your daily use tools which is required by your job. By 2008 it was getting to the point that if you had to trim a hangnail you would require a written authorization by a Supervisor and a Hazard Analysis Study performed by 3 Professors who were tenured at Harvard.
It was a far cry from the early days in Indian Territory, (Anbar Province) when some Drivers were dragging along AK-47's and .380 Auto's for personal protection.
By Sept. 2005 all Convoy's had for the most part been disarmed just in time for the Mckenzie disaster which cost 3 drivers their lives. Don't get me wrong, there were stable, intelligent men who I wouldn't trust with a butter knife let alone a loaded weapon, they just didn't have the training. That and the fact that if you have to deal with a couple dozen people in a screaming mob you would be better served with a can of Brake Parts Cleaner and go for the eyes.
Trust the Military.
You don't want to go to jail for 20 years for defending yourself.

Quote
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
